EMS-01 : ISO 14001 Awareness

This course gives an overall outlook on the purpose and benefits of implementing an EMS before going in depth into practical EMS concerns in workplace and details of ISO14001 requirements. EMS-02 : Understanding, Developing and Implementing Of ISO 14001
This course is designed for all professionals or management staffs who are likely or currently involved in implementing and maintaining an Environmental Management System to meet ISO 14001:2004 Standard or its equivalent.
This course is specifically designed for people with little or no knowledge of ISO 14001 focusing on:
- the basis for proactive environmental management.
- the guidance on the development of a documented environmental management system including the preparation of environmental policies, procedures and work instructions.
- the clauses of ISO 14001 and how to meet the requirements.
- EMS from planning to certification.

EMS-03 : ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
A checking mechanism is crucial in ensuring there is a check and balance to ensure the Environmental Management System has been effectively implemented. The Internal Audit program also serves to identify areas for enhancement as well as excellent practices for bench mark purposes.
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- describe the basic principles and requirements of internal auditing.

EMS-04 : ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
The objective of this course is to understand the purpose of an Environmental Management System, the content and interpretation if ISO 14001:2004. This course will equip participants with knowledge and skills required to audit Management System against ISO 14001:2004, in accordance with ISO 19011. Participants will be guided through the entire audit process, from managing an audit program to reporting on audit results. Participants will gain necessary auditing skills through a balance of tutorials, group discussion, case studies and examinations. At the end of the practical and intensive course, participants will be able to:
- understand environmental management definitions, concepts, and guidelines
- carry out an audit of a company against ISO 14001:2004, including collection of evidence, analysis of evidence and completion of an audit report.
- plan and perform an audit, report findings, conduct opening and closing meetings and establish follow-up action.
- lead and manage third and second party audits of an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

EMS-05 : Identifying EMS Aspects and Impacts
Determining significant environmental aspects and impacts are the core requirements of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. This course addresses the most challenging elements of ISO 14001 by providing valuable and much needed guidance on how to:
- identify environmental aspects associated with an organization's activities, products and services.
- identify the corresponding environmental impacts in terms of pollution and resource depletion.

This course is designed to provide participants with comprehensive understanding of:
- What is ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 requires in terms of legal compliance.
- Malaysia's legislation, regulations and other requirements on environmental protection and pollution prevention applicable to industries.
- Related legislation in occupational health and safety.
- How to accumulate evidence of compliance and conformance to ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001.
